Masaya Seki (関 マサヤ Seki Masaya) is one of the main characters of the Renai Daikou manga series.
Appearance[]
Masaya has black hair and black eyes. He is wearing his school uniform.
Personality[]
When first introduced in the story, Masaya appears to be an introvert and bookish, but it is later revealed to be a facade as he is actually relatively outgoing and almost playboy-ish. He adopts such a facade in an attempt to woo Mari as he has failed to do so with his own personality.
Etymology[]
- The name Masaya is written in katakana (マサヤ), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (雅也, 昌也, 将也, 真也, or 正也), it could possibly mean:
- 雅也 - "gracious, elegant" (雅) (masa), and "to be" (也) (ya)
- 昌也 - "good, to prosper" (昌) (masa), and "to be" (也) (ya)
- 将也 - "commander, general" (将) (masa), and "to be" (也) (ya)
- 真也 - "truth, reality" (真) (masa), and "to be" (也) (ya)
- 正也 - "correct, justice" (正) (masa), and "to be" (也) (ya)
- The surname Seki means "frontier pass, close, relation, barrier" (関) (seki)
