Friends[]
Mari Maria Winter Nanase[]
Mari is Kokon's client for the love agency. When Mari abandons her pursuit of Seki, Kokon briefly considers ending the contract with her, but she ultimately decides to stay on as Mari pursue other targets.
Kengo Matsuda[]
Kengo is a fellow love agent of Kokon, the two also share a rivalry to be the top agent within the agency. Kokon hates Kengo despite her inability to form strong bonds.
In the past, the two were in the same class during junior high. At some point, she borrowed his notebook for history class, but she left a drawing of a Kitsune and a Tanuki when she returned it. Unknown to Kokon, this event left a major impression on Kengo that he developed a crush on her.[1] After Kokon drops out of school, the two reunited as love agents but Kokon did not recognize him due to his changed appearance as well as his odd manner of speaking.
Through their mutual connections in Mari and Seki, Kokon eventually finds out that Kengo has feelings for her and is doing everything he can to make an impression on her. When she confronts him about it, Kengo assumes that he has failed since his plan hinges on Kokon never finding out about it. However to his surprise, Kokon tells him that it is not over, they can be together if he can make her believe in true love.[2]
Masaya Seki[]
Seki is Mari's original subject of affection, Kokon has mostly interacted with him indirectly through Mari. However, she would meet him in a chance encounter where she misplaces her money while Seki attempts to help her find them. Unable to find the money, Seki decides to purchase the hand puppet that she previously made, only to find the money in the puppet later that day.[3] When he finally returns the money, she offers him a reward. Even though she knows that it would be bad if he falls for her, she still ends up getting closer to him through instinct. [4]
