Kokon Aikawa (相川 琥紺 Aikawa Kokon) is one of the main characters of the Renai Daikou manga series.
Appearance[]
Kokon is a beautiful, fair-skinned girl with long black hair. She is often seen wearing a hoodie that resembles a fox or Kitsune, the same as her love agency mascot. She seems to tie her hair into buns that resemble cat ears, which can be seen when she is not wearing her hoodie.[1][2][3]
Personality[]
According to Kokon herself, she is of the avoidant attachment style, meaning she struggles to form strong bonds with others. That, however, does not mean she lacks empathy, as she chooses to stay on as Mari's love agent when Mari is no longer interested in a romance with Masaya.
Background[]
During her childhood, Kokon lacked any sort of family love at home. She was also unable to bond with other girls and she therefore sought out friendship with boys as substitute for family love. Over time this became a survival instinct and she was able to win the hearts of many. As the everyone gets older, this caused excessive affection and extreme jealousy among the boys and love became hatred. So She decided to not continue her education after junior high and became a love agent instead.
Etymology[]
- The name Kokon means "tiger" (琥) (ko) and "navy blue" (紺) (kon). This is also a reference to "Kon", which is the Japanese word for the sound of a fox bark.
- Her surname Aikawa means "mutual, appearance" (相) (ai) and "river" (川) (kawa).
