Memories (エピソード記憶 Episōdo Kioku) is the seventh chapter of the manga series Renai Daikou, written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Nishizawa 5mm. It was released in issue #30, 2023 of Weekly Young Jump on June 22, 2023. [1]
Plot[]
After meeting Nobuko the other day, who has suddenly become interested in the opposite sex. Mari is gobsmacked and feels a little bit betrayed. This in turn makes Mari more interested in romance herself. While a month has passed since she hired Kon as her love agent, Mari has only been able to have some casual conversation with Seki.
At the library, Seki comes over to start a conversation but to the surprise of Seki and their love agents, Mari asked if Seki has been in love before. Pon cautions Seki to be extra careful but Seki is well aware of it. Seki knows that girls are on guard in such a situation; they are also the most observant and they will always remember everything that takes place in these conversations.
After careful consideration and knowing that he can't lie about a past relationship, Seki decides to be up front about it. Informing Mari that he had a relationship in the past, Mari is disappointed but Seki continues that such an experience also makes him aware of what kind of relationship Seki wants to be in. He then turns the conversation and ask what kind of guy Mari likes. Mari responds someone serious, honest but not intimidating but most important of all, someone who would never betray her.
After school, Seki tells Pon that Mari probably despises guys like him. Elsewhere Kon, having investigated more about Mari, realizes that her assignment is going to be tougher than expected.
