Meeting (対面 Taimen) is the thirty-second chapter of the manga series Renai Daikou, written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Nishizawa 5mm. It was released in issue #17, 2024 of Weekly Young Jump on March 28, 2024. [1]
Plot[]
Mari has come to meet Kokon in person and is surprised by her looks. Mari has assumed that Kon hides behind an avatar because she is chubby, but in reality Kokon is skinny with a pretty face to boot. Mari then asks Kokon why she does not use her real face to interact with her clients- Kokon then retorts that she has clients who are males. In the past, when she was using her real face, but there have been occasions when the client fell for her instead of their target. Thus, she started using an avatar, but then someone at her agency started copying her and that person is also why Kokon has invited Mari as they will be discussing him as friends.
After Kokon finishes her story, Mari realizes that she has spilled the beans regarding Pon's plans. To make up for her mistake, Mari proposes that Kokon should go out with Pon. However, Kokon shuts down the idea as she does not believe pure love exists. Mari has been contemplating the same thing lately, and she brings out a doujinshi which features Seki's manga. They both laugh at Seki's terrible drawings, but Mari encourages Kokon to read on, as the content is good.
The story begins with the protagonist running late after transferring to his new school. On his way to school, he runs into a girl, a person he knows from the past. However, the girl has seemingly forgotten about him. He recalls one particular event back in middle school where he lent her a textbook after arriving late in class. And when it returned to him, she left a drawing of a tanuki and kitsune. Upon seeing this, Kokon realizes Pon is the same Matsuda who was in the same class as her.
