Plot[]

Kokon picks up the damaged, stuffed Tanuki, deep in thought. Elsewhere, Kengo has come to meet with Mari and Seki to tell them about the meeting with his target. He believes it was a total success, and they celebrate. Kengo thanked them again, but Mari pointed out that it was all down to the efforts he put in to lose weight and that he was being rewarded for them.

Meanwhile, at Daikou.com Inc., Kokon asks the president if Pon has feelings for her. The president refuses to answer, as it can lead to all sorts of harassment. Kokon feels troubled, and the president asks if she hates him. Kokon states she does; she finds him annoying and gross. Furthermore, he constantly provokes her for no particular reason. Kokon then states that she thought she could speak honestly, but she falls back on stereotypes. The president points out that she does not raise her guard when speaking to someone like them, even though they have a criminal record. If they were in her shoes, they would be afraid to talk to someone like them. Yet she has the courage to do so but is afraid to talk about love.

In Kokon's past, she grew up lacking any sort of family love and had terrible relationships with other girls; therefore, she sought a substitute for family love in boys of her age. Over time, this morphed into a survival instinct; everything became second nature for her. In turn, others began to see her in a sexual manner, but deep down, she was still an innocent child. This kind of combination has an inevitable conclusion, and as expected, the circle she built collapsed due to all of the excessive affection and extreme jealousy going around. Love becomes hatred and is redirected back at her while the other girls ridicule her, believing that is what she deserves. And that is how I ended up leaving school and joining the agency. Kokon concludes that is how she lives; she is fully confident in her ability to make boys fall in love with her, even if the love is fake. The president rationalizes that the way Kokon talks about fake love, she is actually more desperate for real love than anyone else.

Later, Mari contacts Kon, and she can quickly tell Kon is feeling down. So Mari asks her to share, and in response, Kokon asks why Mari wants to be liked by the opposite sex. Mari replies with a simple answer: instincts. She says that someone will catch her eye, but if they were to look her way as well, she would be happy. Mari then turns the question around by asking if Kon wants to be loved by men. Kon denies it, saying that she prefers not to be liked by men. Mari questions her response, wondering if Kon is not interested in men at all. Kon admits that she likes men, but that does not mean she wants to go out with just anybody. If she heads out, everyone gets tense as she disrupts the mood. By simply not being there, everyone can get on with their lives in peace. She would rather be gone but lacks the courage to give up on life, so she chose to leave school, stay at home, and avoid human contact as much as possible. Mari notes that Kon simply does not want to hurt people, and Kon admits it, and she actually likes people.
