Plot[]

At Seki's residence, Seki discussed what has happened so far with Pon. Seki attempted to obtain Mari's phone number a month prior but he was too aggressive, which led to Mari rebuffing him. As a result, Seki has adopted a nerdy, introverted persona to win her over. Then they start talking about what made Seki interested in Mari. Seki proceeds to describe Mari's body features and says that he will do whatever it takes to win over her, such motivation and obsession both disgusts and impresses Pon. For Pon, he will fulfill his contract as a love agent but to do so, Seki cannot be revealed to be a pervert. They then start discussing tactics and techniques.

At school the next day, the technique is revealed to be a simple greeting. Pon explains the mere exposure effect which is that humans have a psychological tendency to have a favorable impression of things they are exposed to frequently. Seki questions it as greetings are a basic human instinct but Pon reveals that there are people who can't do the basics. So, Seki gives it a try but as he approaches Mari, Pon stops him as Mari is with a group of female friends and as he's adopting an introvert persona, he should not be interrupting a conversation between girls. So Pon tells him pretend to be shy and come up with excuses to greet her. However, Mari has approached Seki who proceeds to greet him instead and then promptly runs away.

Elsewhere, Kon encourages Mari, telling her that she did well and that the mere exposure effect only works is they talk every day. However, Kon wonders who Seki calls Tanuki is at the other end of the phone as it is revealed that Kokon has a poster of Kengo on her wall with a knife stabbed through it.
