Commitment (コミット Komitto) is the tenth chapter of the manga series Renai Daikou, written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Nishizawa 5mm. It was released in issue #34, 2023 of Weekly Young Jump on July 20, 2023. [1]
Plot[]
Seki's confrontation with the YouTube club has left Mari fearful of him. Although Seki has done it to protect her, Mari simply cannot perceive him as anything other than violent and scary.
Mari asks Kon if she knew about Seki's true nature. Kon replies that she did do some research on him, and finds out while he is no troublemaker, Seki has a lot of friends. Mari confronts Kon about withholding this fact but Kon replies that she knows things would go south if Mari finds out about it but it's normal for people to hide certain aspects of themselves when it comes to romance. Kon then asks if Mari will terminate the contract.
As Mari contemplates the idea, Kon realizes that Mari might not necessarily be romantic but instead a person who wants to simply provide herself with a sense of security. And so Kon suggests trying out relationships with other people instead. Believing that Kon is asking her to be a slut, Mari declines. Kon then advises Mari that finding someone who is a good match and is compatible will be difficult but she will continue to support her nonetheless. And so Kon asks if Mari has anyone else that she's interested in and Mari points to Kengo.
Kon is shocked by this and she attempts to get Mari to try someone else, perhaps someone more handsome. However Mari turns this down as she finds them too scary and if it were Seki, she would struggle to talk to them. However she has absolutely no problems talking to Kengo. Kon is left conflicted by this as she hates Pon but this is also the client's request.
Back at the YouTube club, Seki asks Pon what he should do. Kengo then enters the room, formally introducing himself and he tells Seki that a path remains open for him.
